Classes and Additional Services
Please find below a breakdown of all our classes we offer below and any additional services we offer here at CWSD.
STREET DANCE:
A class for those who love to dance to different styles of up to date music, sassy and energetic. These sessions are also our main show work classes.
STRETCH AND TECHNIQUE:
A class for those who are wishing to work on their flexibility and splits. Working on different stretches, corner work routines, kicks, leaps and turns. We have stretch equipment including bands, blocks and balance boards.
BALLET, TAP AND MODERN:
Ballet, Tap and Modern exercises from our main syllabus board, The International Dance Association (IDTA) which has great build ups and techniques throughout. Children have the option to take exams in the styles above and rosette/medal tests.
ACROBATIC ARTS:
A class for students who love to be upside down! An hour session which works on covering all bases of the Acrobatic Arts Syllabus including: balance, flexibility, technique, strength and tumbling tricks. All the above bases help towards children learning their acrobatic tricks including front and back walkovers, bridges and aerials to name a few. The students will also be able to learn how to safely perform tricks within a dance routine structure by learning the correct build up techniques.
SENIORS:
A class for the older dancers which involves a warm up, body conditioning and deep stretch. Followed by some corner work and technique exercises to enhance their performances and dances. They cover a lot of show work within this session including different styles of dance. A great all round session.
SENIOR HEELS:
A class for the older dancers who wish to advance their capabilities of dance and add the heeled work to their repertoire. Learning different corner work techniques and show girl walks before learning different styled heel routines.
MELODY BEAR CLASSES:
MELODY BALLET AND TAP (Saturday)
An independent classes for those children who are confident to come into the studio themselves. Learning the basic ballet and tap steps alongside Melody and Milligan Bear. Each week the bears take the children on different adventures to help them use their imagination and add character to their classes. We also cover a basic mime and repeat section where the children focus and repeat different actions without the use of speech.

LITTLE BEAR FEET (Friday)
The perfect dance class for those wobbly walkers who love to bop and move to music. With the comfort of their parents / guardians in the room with them helping them and guiding them to follow instructions and basic dance steps to nursery rhymes. We also use props to keep the imagination and concentration focused. A lovely session to make memories with your tiny dancer.

GROOVY MOVERS (Saturday)
A fun and energetic dance class for those who love to groove and move to music. With different exercises including a fun bus, musical spots, musical corners and dancing with pom poms your dancer will never get bored!
* Melody Awards Scheme:
The Melody Awards Scheme gives the students chance to collect all their stickers they receive at the end of sessions on awards cards which can then allow them to work their way through different coloured medals and rosettes.
PARTIES
Parties for children which can be quoted bespoke to your needs. We can follow themes, host the party from start to end or simply allow full use of our studios for you to base your party at. For a party quote please fill the form in below.
